We have an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Compliance and Assurance Manager. The post-holder will lead the provision of a highly effective, professional compliance, assurance, supply chain and risk management service to ensure that SLC meets its statutory and regulatory requirements as set out by the Department for Education and Cabinet Office.

SLC offer a hybrid working model which will typically be 2 days (Monday and Tuesday) in the office and 3 days from home.

What you bring:

• Excellent knowledge and application of compliance and assurance principles, processes and practices
• A proven record of improving commercial compliance
• An understanding of audit processes
• Proven experience of designing and implementing assurance and compliance processes
• Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills
• Experience in interpreting policy requirements and monitoring compliance against these
• Knowledge of Cabinet Office spend controls
• In-depth working knowledge and experience of public sector procurement, applying the Regulations within an open, restrictive or competitive procedure and understanding of commercial principles
• Stakeholder management experience, influencing and communication skills
• Knowledge of the new Procurement Act 2023
