This is an opportunity for a driven Assistant Buyer to join a specialist developer who converts commercial office space to hotels across central London.

About the role of Assistant Buyer

Your role as Assistant Buyer will be to work as part of the commercial team supporting materials buying purchases for the live projects under Cut & Carve, working under a senior buyer.

Requirements for Assistant Buyer:

• Motivated and looking to progress your career.
• Experience in materials buying from a developer background.
• Ability to investigate new potential suppliers to strengthen our supply chain.
• Understanding of construction drawings and components.
• Good knowledge of curtain wall and building materials is ideal.
• Sourcing and negotiating purchasing materials and plant.
• Understanding of project contractual requirements and ensure these are relayed to suppliers and sub-contractors as required.

The company:

The company is a hotel developer that builds for itself. They have recently acquired 5 new sites, with 20 live projects across London at this time. Projects are all Cut & Carve with high-spec fit-outs, with units ranging from 40 to 500. The office is based in central London, with most sites within walking distance of the office; however, you will be predominantly office-based. The company is in a secure financial position and will continue to grow in the UK market.
