Assistant Buyer to support the Indirect team working for a large manufacturing company in Lichfield. This role offers 2 days working from home.

Client Details

My client is a large manufacturing organisation based in Lichfield looking for a full time Assistant buyer in the indirect team.

Description

1. Assist in developing and implementing procurement strategies.
2. Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of products.
3. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to understand their procurement needs.
4. Monitor supplier performance and develop improvement plans.
5. Assist in negotiation of contracts with suppliers.
6. Ensure compliance with company's procurement policies and procedures.
7. Help manage supplier relationships and build effective partnerships.
8. Participate in the continuous improvement of procurement processes.

Profile

1. Experience in a procurement role within the industrial / manufacturing industry is ideal but not essential.
2. Experience as an Assistant Buyer.
3. Strong negotiation skills.
4. Good understanding of supply chain processes.
5. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
7. Can commute to Lichfield.
