Senior P&C Closing Actuary - IFRS17

Oliver James has partnered with a leading global reinsurer, providing innovative solutions to meet the diverse needs of clients in the insurance and reinsurance sectors, in their search for a Senior P&C Closing Actuary.

You will be joining a multicultural team and will be responsible for managing the P&C quarter close activities, including the analysis and reporting of technical results under IFRS, local GAAP, and Solvency II (SII). You will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy of the P&L and Balance Sheet, while offering your expertise to senior management and internal and external stakeholders.

Some of your key responsibilities are:

• P&C Financial Reporting: Production of P&C results under IFRS17, local GAAP, and Solvency II.
• Closing Coordination: Lead and perform closing tasks for the assigned scope in collaboration with other functions.
• Data Accuracy: Review the accuracy of data, ensuring the completeness of P&L and balance sheet for quarterly close under IFRS and local GAAP.
• Process Improvement: Proactively drive process improvements, efficiencies, and automation solutions across the team.

Required Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the (Re-)insurance sector.
• Strong technical expertise in P&C actuarial and financial reporting, including IFRS17.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex data clearly.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Fluent in English and French.
