Compensation: $28.50 per hour

Overtime pay rate: $42.75/hour after 44 hours/week

Vacation: Vacation pay 4% of the gross pay

Job Protected Unpaid Leave: 10 days for personal emergencies such as illness, injury, and certain other emergencies and urgent matters.

Work hours: Minimum 35 hours per week, some weekends may be required

Job duties:

• Oversee and manage daily operations of the store and the gas station and act as a leader for the store employees including hiring, reviewing, and employee scheduling.
• Assist in planning annual or specific budgets.
• Develop rapport and make connections with the retail team and customers.
• Resolve customer complaints in a timely and professional manner.
• Implement and enforce daily operating procedures to ensure the store is clean, adequately stocked, organized, and well-kept.
• Ensure all merchandise is stocked and displays are attractive, priced correctly, and displayed in a safe manner.
• Maintain quality brand image standards.
• Complete daily paperwork and computer entries in a timely manner as established by management.
• Monitor cash over and short, inventory shrinkage, and drive-offs daily.
• Understand all information in the daily reporting of store operations.
• Follow and enforce all company policies and established procedures in the store operations.
• Communicate and perform all price change requests, markdowns/ups as requested by the manager.
• Enforce safety and security and report all unsafe conditions.
• Report and process all employee and/or customer incidents or accidents following company procedure.

Requirements/Qualifications:

• Previous 1-year experience in retail business or gas station environment.
• Completion of secondary school.
• Willing to relocate.
• Experience in budgeting.
• Must have excellent communication skills in English and client service.
• Education from a Canadian institute is an asset.
• Able to work weekdays and weekends.
• Highly effective teamwork and organizational skills.
• Attention to detail in all areas of work.
