We are looking to add an Applied Scientist – Neurotech & ML to join the Dream Team! Reporting to the Director of R&D, you will be responsible for leading the implementation of machine learning within our data analysis pipelines, bridging the gap between raw neurological signals and life-changing user insights.

1. Advanced Biomedical Signal Processing: You will own the signal pipeline from sensor to insight, developing data processing and SNR enhancement algorithms that meet or exceed medical device standards.
2. Machine Learning & Sleep staging: You will build the analytical engine of the device, developing robust sleep staging models that outperform other consumer wearables and uncover statistical patterns in user data to drive new feature releases.
3. Production Deployment: You will bridge the gap between research and reality, collaborating with firmware and software teams to optimize and deploy lightweight algorithms onto embedded systems for real-time performance.
4. Scientific Credibility: You will validate our technology through rigorous testing, authoring internal technical reports and external whitepapers to establish Bía as a trusted leader in neuroscience.

• Degree in Biomedical Engineering, Computational Neuroscience, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
• Minimum of 5 years of industry or applied research experience in Machine Learning and Digital Signal Processing.
• Demonstrated experience working with time-series biomedical data (fNIRS, EEG, PPG, or similar neuro-signals), particularly for real-time analysis.
• Experience deploying models to production environments (embedded systems or mobile applications) is highly desirable.
• Strong mathematical and statistical foundations, with expertise in the data science stack (i.e. NumPy, SciPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn, PyTorch/TensorFlow)
• Detailed understanding of filtering, artifact removal, spectral analysis, and sensor fusion.
