Northern Computer is searching for a Sales Director who is a proven sales leader with a track record for putting the customer first.
The Role:
Reporting to the General Manager, the Sales Director is accountable for leading the sales team and implementing the sales strategy to achieve revenue goals. This individual will nurture and grow existing customer relationships, identify new sales opportunities, and understand what it takes to be successful within a complex sales cycle with multiple stakeholders. The Sales Director will have a proven track record working within an MSP, selling IT and cyber security services to businesses and organizations.
- Work with GM and the team to execute tactics and processes required to deliver on the sales strategy.
- Foster a sales culture that values transparency, accountability, and excellence, continually searching for new opportunities.
- Build relationships with key customers, making customer-centric decisions ensuring customer service and satisfaction drives every decision.
- Utilize above-average interpersonal skills, build consensus between sales and service teams, and encourage collaboration to determine the best course of action for the customer.
- Maintain consistent interaction with the team, evaluate ongoing employee performance, and coordinate annual review and appraisal programs.
- Provide coaching and training to employees when needed, understanding people below the surface.
- Set expectations for the sales team and gain buy-in for continually improving systems and processes, demonstrating the ability to get things done in order of priority.
- Champion an ERP that contributes to a collaborative working environment and culture.
- Establish quarterly business reviews with customers, aligning senior management around the initiative.
- Continue to build a culture where continuous improvement is encouraged.
The Requirements:
- 7+ years hands-on experience proactively growing sales, building relationships with small and medium businesses, professional services, local government, or not-for-profit organizations; experience working within an MSP is preferred.
- Proven sales ability with strong technical skills; experience with IT tech stacks is an asset.
- A passionate sales leader who is a team player and able to establish a value proposition and convey excitement about the company brand.
- Experience building key relationships into trusted client partnerships, strategically growing sales teams and sales pipelines.
- Thrives within a dynamic entrepreneurial environment, wears multiple hats, and has exceptional communication and organizational skills.
- A hands-on doer with a proven track record working within complex sales cycles, knowing what it takes to finesse multiple stakeholders to engage and purchase.
- Naturally curious, able to see outside the box, identify gaps in the market, and initiate potential new opportunities.
- Experience achieving quarterly sales targets, forecasting, reporting, KPIs, and basing decisions on metrics.
- Thrives within a dynamic entrepreneurial culture where change is constant, a continuous learner who strives for consistent improvement.
- A natural collaborator who is outgoing and demonstrates energy and a sense of urgency when fulfilling day-to-day responsibilities.
- Experience utilizing a CRM within an ERP and has advanced Excel skills.
