SUMMARY

Under the direction and guidance of the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), the Sales & Marketing Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of advertising within the Bailey Terminal and other airport facilities, and for managing the Authority's Integrated Airport Advertising Program. This position is responsible for identifying potential advertising spaces, developing sales strategies, managing relationships with advertisers, and maximizing revenue generation through the sale of advertising placements and partnerships across various media formats.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Develop an Integrated Airport Advertising Program with the Bailey Terminal as the core focus area for revenue generation, complemented by advertising in the Rental Car Center, PGD Air Center and other airport-owned channels.
  2. Leverage existing Airport assets, including social media, Constant Contact database, highly trafficked website and mobile location data as part of the Integrated Airport Advertising Program offering added value to advertisers.
  3. Identify and evaluate potential advertising opportunities within the Bailey Terminal and Airport facilities, including dynamic digital displays, signage, seasonal exhibits, vehicles/boats, wall space, and other creative formats.
  4. Analyze and present opportunities for outdoor advertising in parking lots, highways/roads and building exteriors, as well as parking shuttles, integrated mobile technology and apps.
  5. Develop and execute a comprehensive advertising sales strategy to attract new advertisers and retain existing clients; maintain an accurate database of current and existing partners.
  6. Collaborate with advertisers to develop effective advertising campaigns that align with the client's marketing objectives, as well as PGD's objectives.
  7. Build and maintain strong relationships with advertisers, providing excellent customer service and addressing their needs.
  8. Create compelling advertising packages and different pricing tiers to meet the needs of diverse advertisers.
  9. Secure appointments and make sales presentations to potential clients, highlighting the benefits of advertising at the airport.
  10. Develop and implement innovative partnerships with airlines, government agencies, chambers, tourist destinations, airports, media outlets, tenants and concessionaires; developing contracts that maximize airport revenues while considering exchangeable in-kind services/benefits/value.
  11. Negotiate advertising contracts and work with finance department to set up payment terms.
  12. Monitor billing and accounts payable; responsible for contract management and ensuring renewals.
  13. Monitor campaign performance and provide regular reports to advertisers on key metrics such as impressions and engagement.
  14. Manage the day-to-day operations of the Integrated Airport Advertising Program, including scheduling ad placements, monitoring ad creative, and ensuring compliance with airport guidelines.
  15. Encourage engaging, high-quality imagery and graphic design quality that improves passenger experience; and develop a strategy for advertisers to procure attractive, creative graphic design services if needed.
  16. Manage procurement, configuration and maintenance of airport-owned physical assets including electronic LCD and LED screens and static displays.
  17. Oversee the installation and maintenance of static advertising signage and dynamic digital displays through a Content Management System, ensuring branding consistency with the Authority's safety messaging, disability/compliance, wayfinding, seasonal/holidays, traveler benefits and tips.
  18. Manage vendor delivery and restocking of all advertisers' handouts, brochures and publications in the appropriate locations at the Bailey Terminal, Rental Car Center and PGD Air Center.
  19. Track advertising revenue and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of the Integrated Airport Advertising Program.
  20. Prepare regular reports for Airport management on advertising sales and performance; analyze market trends and passenger data to identify opportunities for new advertising products and revenue streams.
  21. Work with Airport operations to improve passenger experience through aesthetic enhancements, passenger traffic flow, special events and improvements, as well as communicating traffic flow changes during temporary construction.
  22. Adhere to brand management standards; ensure PGD brands including the Charlotte County Airport Authority and PGD Air Center logos/brands are being properly utilized on print and electronic mediums, templates, letterhead signage, attire and promotional items.
  23. Represent the CMO in her absence at various community, business, civic, organizational, governmental meetings, as needed.
  24. Perform other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Associate Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field.
  2. A minimum of 3 years of experience in sales and/or related fields which involved B2B experience, customer acquisition, customer relations, business administration, public speaking, marketing or an equivalent combination.
  3. Valid Drivers License.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

  1. Proven experience in advertising sales, preferably within the retail or media industry.
  2. Strong understanding of marketing principles and strategies.
  3. Strong expertise in operating MS Office Suite programs and CRM software.
  4. Excellent oral and written communications skills.
  5. Experience with layout & design principles, content management systems and email marketing platforms.
  6. Ability to analyze data and generate insightful reports to inform decision-making.
  7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with clients.
  8. Experience with commercial airports, airline service, commercial construction phasing, digital message boards and wayfinding is a plus.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT

  1. Good visual acuity to work inside under artificial lighting and in bright sunlight.
  2. Ability to lift up to 20 pounds and occasionally set up banners, displays, etc.
  3. Sit or walk for most of the day.
