BC Place is hiring Event First Aid Dispatchers to support frontline medical and first aid operations during concerts, sporting events, and special events. This role is essential to maintaining guest safety and wellness by coordinating timely responses to medical incidents, first aid requests, and emergency situations throughout the Stadium.

First Aid Dispatchers operate in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, providing accurate information processing, real-time coordination, and clear communication. Working closely with First Aid teams and other stadium operations groups, Dispatchers follow established procedures and protocols when managing routine, urgent, or escalated medical situations. Dedicated Dispatchers will be in place to support emergency and issue-related first aid responses across the Stadium.

Hourly Rate: $35.00
Union: BC Employees’ General Union (BCGEU)

• Receive, assess, prioritize, and dispatch first aid and medical-related requests or incidents to the appropriate responders
• Serve as the central communication point between First Aid teams, stadium operations, security, Environmental Services, hosting, maintenance, and other dispatch colleagues
• Accurately enter, update, and maintain incident and response records in dispatch and reporting systems on Momentus WeTrack
• Monitor multiple communication channels (phone, radio, and system alerts) to maintain situational awareness during events
• Follow emergency management protocols, medical response procedures, and escalation plans
• Provide calm, clear, and professional communication during routine operations and medical emergencies
• Support emergency responses, including evacuations, under direction from event or medical leadership
• Maintain detailed written logs, reports, and system records in accordance with procedures and legal requirements
• Stay informed on event details, venue layouts, first aid station locations, and operational updates
• Provide accurate information to callers or direct inquiries to the appropriate department
• Work collaboratively in a team-based environment, following verbal and written instructions
• Accurately enter data while simultaneously receiving information via phone or radio

• Prior experience in dispatch, emergency services, or first aid coordination
• Certification in First Aid/CPR or other medical training is an asset
• Knowledge of stadium operations, event management, or crowd safety protocols
• Knowledge and/or experience with Momentus WeTrack
• Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume customer service or emergency environment
• A strong customer-service mindset with a guest-first attitude and professional appearance
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (additional languages are an asset)
• Ability to read, understand, and follow written policies, procedures, and rules
• Strong multitasking, organizational, and time-management skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
• Ability to remain calm, focused, and professional in stressful or emergency situations
• Sound judgment and ability to follow procedures under pressure
• Proficient computer and keyboarding skills
• Ability to work day shifts, evenings, overnights, weekends, and statutory holidays as required
• Availability to work 80% of anchor events (approximately 30 events per year)
