A community sports organization in Calgary is seeking a full-time Sport Coordinator. This remote role involves coordinating facilities, developing partnerships, and managing communication with stakeholders. Candidates should have a degree in a relevant field and 3-5 years of experience in sports or non-profit management. The position offers flexibility due to the nature of sports events and requires excellent organizational skills. Ideal for those passionate about growth in community sports.
Softball Calgary (also known asthe Calgary & District Amateur Softball Association, C.D.A.S.A.) was formed in1948, andis a registered non-profit in the Province of Alberta. Our organization has12membersoftball leagues across the City of Calgary, which represent over 3,000 players on 200 teams. The member leagues are made up of slo-pitch and fast-pitch players of all ages and levels.
Softball Calgary is governed by an elected Board of Directors. The board consists ofvolunteer officers in charge ofsettingpolicy andprocedure, andoverseeing financial and strategic operations. The staff of Softball Calgary, including the Sport Coordinator, look after theday to dayoperations of the association. The Softball Calgary offices are openyear round, exceptonstatutory holidays and for the annual Christmas closure.
The Sport Coordinator at Softball Calgary is a full-time, remote role. Due to the seasonal nature of sport in Calgary and therole’srequiredinvolvementin events which take place outside of regular business hours, flexibility in working hours isa must. Travel within the city will berequiredat times, with reimbursement for mileage.
