About the Role
The Integrated Solutions team in the Business Services group is looking for an experienced Senior System Analyst – ServiceNow. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the ServiceNow platform and extensive experience in designing, developing, testing, and implementing ServiceNow solutions. Reporting to the Manager, Integrated Solutions, the Senior System Analyst – ServiceNow will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver high-quality enhancements that meet the business needs and comply with the established standards and best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement ServiceNow applications and solutions.
- Responsible for the creation and documentation of development unit test cases and build plans.
- Conduct unit, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure quality assurance.
- Develop, configure, customize, and maintain workflows, forms, fields, email notifications, and access controls.
- Create ServiceNow reports and dashboards.
- Support the implementation of ServiceNow release upgrades and new ServiceNow modules as needed.
- Create and configure Business Rules, Script Includes, UI Policies, UI Actions, Client Scripts, and ACLs, including advanced scripting.
- Create and configure Notifications, UI Pages, UI Macros, Formatters, etc. in ServiceNow.
- Integrate ServiceNow applications with third-party systems and applications via APIs.
- Troubleshoot platform performance issues and implement performance enhancements.
- Analyze both functional and non-functional requirements to provide accurate estimates for development efforts.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including user manuals and system documentation.
- Prepare reports on analyses and system performance.
- Provider customer-facing support to stakeholders.
- Identify and resolve system inefficiencies and issues.
- Set IT practice standards and improve existing methods.
Knowledge and Experience Required:
- University or College degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Thorough knowledge of ITIL/ITSM processes.
- In-depth understanding of ServiceNow functionality and how ITIL processes can be implemented in ServiceNow, including but not limited to Incident Management, Change Management, Problem Management, Asset Management, CMDB (Configuration Management Database) Management, Service Catalog, Knowledge Management, Outage Module and Service Portal modules.
- Solid experience (5+ years) designing, developing, testing, and implementing on the ServiceNow platform, including the creation, customization, and maintenance of core applications.
- Solid experience in configuring and maintaining UI Policies, Client Scripts, Business Rules, ACLs, UI Actions, Script Actions, Email Notifications, Events, and Assignment Rules, Email Scripts, Inbound Actions, Flow Designer, SLA’s, Reporting and Dashboards.
- Strong knowledge of the ServiceNow data model and relationships.
- Strong technical skills, including a solid understanding and relevant experience in software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; strong attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and operational skill sets, with the ability to effectively interact with clients and collaborate in a team environment.
- Strong planning, prioritizing, and time management skills, with the ability to undertake and manage multiple tasks simultaneously while working under tight deadlines.
- Strong understanding of the CX in delivering value-driven solutions and enhancements.
- Relevant certifications such as ITIL Foundation, ServiceNow System Administrator, ServiceNow Application Developer, an asset.
- Familiarity with the ServiceNow licensing model, an asset.
- Bilingualism (English and French), an asset.
