A prominent healthcare organization in Canada is seeking a part-time Specialist Biomedical Scientist to conduct essential diagnostic tests within their Immunology and Neuroimmunology laboratory. The role is 32 hours per week, requires registration as a Biomedical Scientist, and involves participation in a weekend and public holiday on-call rota. Applicants should have relevant experience in these specialties. This is a fixed-term position for 12 months starting April 2026.

We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million, and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.
The post holder will be responsible for carrying out day‑to‑day technical operations within the Immunology and Neuroimmunology laboratory at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. Duties include rotating through sections of the laboratory and performing a range of manual and automated diagnostic tests. Candidates may be required to complete a specialist portfolio in Clinical Immunology if not already achieved.
This is a part‑time post, 32 hours per week, Monday to Friday, for an initial fixed term of 12 months starting 1 April 2026. The role requires participation in a weekend and public holiday on‑call rota after appropriate training.
Candidates must be registered as a Biomedical Scientist with the Health Care Professions Council. Experience in an Immunology or Neuroimmunology diagnostic laboratory, or with techniques or methods used in these specialties, is highly desirable.
