Overview

Position: Permanent Full-Time Logistics Analyst. On site position. Starts as soon as possible. Working hours from 09:00 to 17:00.

Salary: $42.00 hourly / 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities
  • Compile orders and instructions received from customers.
  • Develop specific plans to prioritize.
  • Organize tasks to accomplish the work.
  • Oversee operational logistics of the organization.
  • Plan and organize operational logistics of the organization.
  • Track and complete work orders.
  • Prepare and submit reports.
  • Maintain work records and logs.
  • Dispatch personnel according to schedules and work orders.
  • Follow-up on issues with work orders.

Company requests
  • Analyzing all shipping tasks based on value of APIs, storage conditions, requested timeline by customers and US border crossing requirements for APIs to determine most cost-effective methods of transportation (MOA).
  • Collaborate with US customs broker to file entries for APIs and prepare all paperwork for customs, FDA and other PGAs; monitor clearance status through ITACS to ensure FDA deadlines are met.
  • Understand FDA requirements (REG, DLS, MFG codes, etc.) for APIs/excipients importation to ensure compliance with FDA regulations.
  • Understand APHIS/EPA exemption rules and prepare statements for disclaiming and crossing border when products are flagged by customs.
  • Set up FDA product code database for hundreds of APIs sourced from different manufacturers based on drug classification and intended use.
  • Understand HTS codes for hundreds of APIs based on chemical structure to ensure proper tariff classifications and avoid overpayment.
  • Set up a database for tariff rate exemptions based on COO and US EO for tariff adjustments and monitoring future changes.
  • Understand IATA DG regulations and be qualified to handle shipments containing dangerous goods.
  • Understand Health Canada requirements for transportation of controlled substances and sign service agreements with logistic companies to maintain Chain of Custody.
Credentials
  • Canadian International Freight Forwarders Association (CIFFA) Certificate.
  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate.
