XTL Transport Inc. is looking for a Carrier Logistics Planner at our Balzac Terminal to become part of an excellent team.

Responsibilities
Carrier Relations:
- Grow & develop our carrier base with partners that meet or exceed our criteria & compliance standards.
- Develop an in-depth understanding of partner carrier networks in order to maximize their effectiveness.
- Monitor, measure, and provide feedback on carrier performance (in conjunction with other team members).
- Negotiate transactional and dedicated rates with partner carriers while ensuring corporate margin targets are achieved.
- Progress high performing carrier partners from transactional to core status.
- Ensure carriers are enrolled with Four Kites.
- Vet perspective new carriers using a series of online tools.
- Conduct at least 2 carrier exploration calls per week.
- Feedback must be updated in the carrier database.
- Develop talking points to assist Reps.
- Carrier Reps must either visit or host 2 in-person carrier meetings per month.
Track weekly carrier utilization - volume, revenue, and service levels. Need to conduct service meetings for underperforming carriers.
- Service expectation is 95%.
- Must manage a minimum of loads per period - ideal targets.
- Partner carrier negotiation must hit minimum margin target.
Corporate Responsibilities
- Assist with market rate information in order to complete rate proposals.
- Liaison with other team members to ensure order completion.
- Perform all of the above responsibilities in alignment with our corporate strategic objectives.
- Perform all of the above responsibilities in alignment with our corporate values of LEAD WITH GRACE.
Measurement Responsibilities
- Ensure data integrity is high when building, managing, and completing orders.
- Verify carrier data is accurate before completing orders.

Skills & Abilities:
- Computer experience required (AS400, Lotus).
- Geographical knowledge of North America.
- Fluent communication skills.
- Negotiating skills.
- Bilingual (English & French) is an asset.
- 1-2 years industry experience and/or relevant post-secondary education.
- Must be eager, up for new challenges, and not willing to settle.
- Excellent customer service skills & professional demeanor.
- Problem-solving initiative.

Ability to work well under pressure and provide follow-up with strong attention to detail. Ability to work in a team atmosphere with minimal supervision.
