About The Role
We are recruiting an IT Manager to oversee the IT function of our business and develop the foundation for Oxygen8’s continued rapid and profitable growth. This is a sole contributor role, and spans from highly strategic work to very much hands-on work. Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day IT operations: IT hardware assets, network infrastructure, security and confidentiality of information, and Tier 1-3 support to all levels of the company.
- Oversee development and implementation of training programs to all levels of staff to ensure effective use of company IT systems and software.
- Oversee and manage connectivity support, including permissions management, employee onboarding/offboarding all in coordination with the People & Culture department.
- Stay up to date on the latest cybersecurity threats, monitor for security breaches, and implement measures to protect the company’s systems (including training employees).
- Support the departments that manage and use our enterprise level software systems (ERP, CRM, HRIS etc.).
- Support manufacturing operations that integrate with IT systems.
- IT-related strategic planning and the development of the annual technology plan.
- Manage IT budget in coordination with the Finance department.
- Manage relationships with external managed service provider(s).
- Support implementation of and adherence to IT governance and policies.
Experience And Skills
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in computer science, information systems, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum five years’ experience in direct desktop support, including minimum two years in a supervisory or management role.
- Strong technical knowledge of Microsoft 365, including SharePoint, Office Suite, Power Automate, Power BI.
- Experience with enterprise systems; Epicor and Salesforce experience would be an asset.
- Managing rapid growth and change is key to this role. You have experience planning, building and managing the IT function to support company growth.
- Previous experience in a high growth manufacturing environment or sustainable technology company would be an asset.
- Highly organized, strategic thinker, excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong project management skills with a track record of successfully delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
- Must have a valid Class 5 BC driver’s license and a vehicle.
- Ability to travel to the United States for work.

Annual Salary
- $100,000 to $130,000 based on experience.
Location and Schedule:
- On site 40 hours per week at our Vancouver offices: East Vancouver, South Burnaby, and North Burnaby
- Monday to Friday 8am to 4:30pm (TBD)
- Some travel required to our Toronto office and future US operations.
