A well-established construction firm in Moncton, NB is seeking a Senior Project Manager to oversee complex construction projects while mentoring project teams. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience in commercial or industrial construction, strong leadership skills, and expertise in project management methodologies. Our client is a well-established construction firm with a strong presence in Atlantic Canada and a growing operation in Moncton, NB. They are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to take on a leadership role overseeing complex construction projects while mentoring project teams and supporting continued regional growth.
This opportunity is ideal for a seasoned construction professional who enjoys balancing strategic oversight with hands-on project leadership and takes pride in delivering high-quality work in a collaborative environment.
As Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of multiple projects or large-scale, complex builds from pre-construction through closeout. You will act as a key liaison between clients, internal teams, and site leadership while helping to elevate project management standards across the organization.
Lead and promote a strong safety culture across all projects and teams.
Oversee project planning, execution, budgeting, scheduling, and closeout.
Provide mentorship and guidance to Project Managers, Coordinators, and site teams.
Collaborate closely with estimating and operations teams during pre-construction and planning phases.
Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor throughout the project lifecycle.
Monitor financial performance, forecasts, schedules, and risk management strategies.
Proactively identify issues and implement solutions to keep projects on track.
Split time between the office and job sites (approximately 70% office / 30% site, depending on project needs).
Diploma or degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline (preferred).
PMP designation or progress toward PMP is considered an asset.
5+ years of experience managing commercial or industrial construction projects.
Demonstrated experience leading project teams and managing multiple stakeholders.
Strong financial and cost-control expertise.
Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
Comfortable working with Microsoft Office and modern project management software.
A strong understanding of construction methodologies and project management best practices.
