Job summary
A technology solutions company based in Calgary is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to lead requirement gathering and manage stakeholder expectations. The role involves developing process artifacts, facilitating Agile ceremonies, and collaborating with UI/UX teams to ensure alignment between requirements and designs. Ideal candidates should have experience with customer-facing web applications, proficient in writing user stories, and be familiar with tools like Jira. A strong understanding of Agile methodologies is essential.
Qualifications
- Experience with customer-facing external web applications and Buy Flow.
- Strong understanding of Agile Scrum framework.
- Experience creating detailed process and system diagrams.
Responsibilities
- Lead requirement gathering sessions with business stakeholders.
- Manage and document end-to-end external customer journeys.
- Develop process artifacts including process flows and integration diagrams.
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies and collaborate with UI/UX teams.

- Lead requirement gathering sessions with business stakeholders to define clear, actionable requirements.
- Manage and document end-to-end external customer journeys (e.g., product selection to order placement).
- Break down business requirements into Epics, Features, and User Stories in Jira based on business needs and UI mockups.
Create detailed user stories with:
- Clear user actions
- Acceptance Criteria
- Definition of Done (DoD)
- Supporting mockups and diagrams (where applicable)
Develop process artifacts including:
- Process flows
- System flows
- Swim lanes
- Integration diagrams
- Flowcharts
Facilitate Agile ceremonies:
- Sprint Planning
- Daily Stand-ups
- Sprint Reviews/Demos
- Retrospectives
- Backlog Grooming/Refinement
- (SAFe experience is a plus)
Collaborate with UI/UX and design teams to ensure alignment between requirements and mockups.
Articulate functional and non-functional requirements clearly to Dev and QA teams.
Manage stakeholder expectations and control scope creep.
Conduct gap and data analysis (SQL / Power BI preferred) to support service improvements.
Troubleshoot production issues by engaging appropriate stakeholders and facilitating resolution.
Work with APIs and understand system integrations.
Support change management initiatives.
Leverage AI tools to enhance productivity in BA deliverables.
Build strong relationships with stakeholders and foster a collaborative working environment.
- Experience with customer-facing external web applications with Buy Flow
