Position Description
Lenovo’s global cyber security team is seeking highly skilled and motivated security professionals who are passionate about protecting companies from today’s ever-increasing cyber threats. We are a diverse global and cross-functional team that embraces technology and enjoys complex challenges. Our growing team is involved in all aspects of modern cyber security. We solve complex problems and are Lenovo’s front line of defense against cyber-attacks. We are looking for forward-thinking, technically capable professionals to develop, implement and maintain advanced cyber security technical solutions, design effective security policies and procedures, conduct technical security assessments, investigate cyber incidents, lead security initiatives, and participate in incident response actions.
Individuals selected for this position will also play an active role in Lenovo’s vast Artificial Intelligence (AI) endeavors. Lenovo is a world leader in Artificial Intelligence that invents, leverages and delivers AI devices, solutions, and services across the globe. Our cyber security team plays a proactive role in Lenovo’s responsible AI processes to ensure we protect our customers and Lenovo from the various security challenges of modern generative AI.

Please note this is not an entry-level position; successful candidates must have significant cyber security experience and strong technical competence. Working level experience with generative artificial intelligence solutions is necessary.
Assist Lenovo with the cyber security aspects of its responsible AI objectives.
Assist in the design, implementation, and deployment of technical controls to protect Lenovo.
Conduct project technical security assessments and provide guidance.
Conduct third party security assessments.
Create and maintain technical security standards.
Assist in incident response processes.
Security operations assistance as needed.
Domestic and international travel may be required (5%) for technical meetings, workshops, and on-site collaboration activities.
Bring a passion to learn and stay on top of cyber security threats and trends.
Bring discipline and dedication to ensure programs are secure and meet goals.
BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Security or related software engineering field, or equivalent experience.
8+ years of technical experience in at least one of the following:
5+ years cyber security and/or information security principles related experience.
Current Certification in relevant field of Information Security and/or Cyber Security (e.g. CISSP; CISA; CISM; GIAC; CEH; Security)
Reasonable working knowledge of AI, cybersecurity and solution design as it pertains to Artificial intelligence.
Reasonable working knowledge of cloud-based AI service providers (ex. Azure, AWS, AliCloud)
General knowledge of cyber security controls frameworks (e.g. ISO27001, NIST)
Technical experience in modern Generative AI solutions and platforms.
Technical experience leading global security initiatives.
Cyber Security operations and incident response.
Vulnerability management.
Hands-on experience with a wide range of security tools. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
