- Prepare and finalize Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss Statements for our steel manufacturing units in Africa.
- Ensure compliance with local financial regulations in Africa.
- Maintain accurate financial records and prepare periodic financial reports for senior management.
Internal Audit & Financial Integrity:
- Conduct internal audits to identify discrepancies, prevent errors, and maintain financial transparency.
- Implement robust internal controls to prevent fraud, misstatements, and compliance risks.
- Ensure books are maintained accurately and in accordance with international accounting standards.
Business Expansion & Corporate Compliance:
- Oversee company establishment, business registrations, and regulatory compliance in new African markets.
- Facilitate bank account openings, tax registrations, and obtaining necessary business licenses across multiple countries.
- Liaise with local regulatory authorities, consultants, and legal teams for smooth business expansion.
Strategic Business Evaluation & Financial Analysis:
- Analyze various business models to assess feasibility and financial viability.
- Conduct market research and financial due diligence on potential investments and expansion opportunities.
- Provide strategic insights to senior management on cost structures, pricing strategies and investment decisions.
General Accounting & Banking Operations:
- Manage cash flow, budgeting, and financial forecasting.
- Ensure timely payments, bank reconciliations, and compliance with international banking regulations.
- Work closely with external auditors, tax consultants, and financial institutions.
Desired Candidate Profile
Education: Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (Chartered Accountant Preferred)
Experience: Minimum 5-7 years of experience in financial accounting, business expansion, or internal audit, preferably in the steel, manufacturing, or international business sector.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, internal audit, and taxation.
- Understanding of company formation, business registration, and regulatory frameworks in Africa and the UAE.
- Proficiency in Tally, SAP, or ERP accounting software.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Business acumen to evaluate and implement various business models and financial strategies.
