Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to manage core accounting functions and ensure accurate financial reporting. This role involves overseeing reconciliations, amortization, accruals, fixed assets, intercompany transactions, and audit support. The ideal candidate will take a hands-on approach, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial data while maintaining compliance with accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities

General Ledger Management

• Accurately record daily financial transactions in the general ledger.
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.

Reconciliations

• Perform detailed monthly, quarterly, and annual balance sheet reconciliations.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies to maintain data integrity.

Amortization & Accruals

• Manage amortization of prepaid expenses and intangible assets.
• Prepare and adjust accrual listings to ensure accurate recognition of expenses and revenue.

Fixed Assets Management

• Maintain the fixed asset register, ensuring proper capitalization, depreciation, and disposals.
• Regularly update asset records in accordance with company policies.

Intercompany Transactions

• Oversee intercompany reconciliations across multiple entities.
• Ensure accuracy and consistency in intercompany financial statements.

Audit Support

• Provide documentation and supporting schedules for external audits.
• Assist auditors and respond to inquiries promptly, ensuring compliance with audit requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional certification (CA, CPA, CMA, ACCA) is preferred.

Experience

• Minimum 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in the UAE.

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial systems.
• Proficiency in Oracle accounting software.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong communication and time management skills.
