A contracting company in Dubai seeks a proficient Mechanical Draftsman to prepare mechanical drawings for HVAC, plumbing, and fire-fighting systems. The ideal candidate has strong AutoCAD skills and the ability to coordinate with engineers and site teams. Responsibilities include preparation of shop drawings, assisting with technical documentation, and ensuring compliance with UAE authority regulations. Strong attention to detail and time management skills are essential for this role.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in HVAC, plumbing, drainage, and fire-fighting systems.
- Experience preparing shop drawings and technical documentation.
- Strong understanding of project standards and QA/QC procedures.
Responsibilities
- Prepare mechanical drawings for various systems.
- Assist engineers with technical documentation.
- Coordinate with site teams to resolve design clashes.

- Proficient in preparing mechanical drawings for HVAC, plumbing, drainage, and fire-fighting systems
- Ability to read and interpret IFC, shop drawings, and specifications
- Knowledge of UAE authority regulations (DM, DCD, DEWA, ADDC, SEWA)
- Strong understanding of mechanical system layouts, ducting, piping, and equipment
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and Revit (preferred)
- Preparing shop drawings, as-built drawings, and material layouts
- Assisting engineers with technical documentation and submittals
- Ability to follow project standards and QA/QC procedures
- Coordinate with engineers, site teams, and other disciplines to resolve design clashes
- Communicate effectively to incorporate changes and approvals from consultants
- Strong MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Proficiency in AutoCAD
- Familiarity with Revit/BIM software (preferred)
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Time management and ability to meet deadlines
