Job summary
A leading fire protection company in Abu Dhabi seeks an FF Draughtsman to create detailed CAD drawings for fire fighting systems. The successful candidate will translate designs into accurate constructible plans, collaborate closely with engineers and architects, and ensure compliance with local fire safety standards. Requirements include a relevant diploma and proficiency in CAD software. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a focus on safety and standards.
Qualifications
- Diploma or certification in Drafting, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficient in CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or equivalent.
- Knowledge of fire fighting equipment and systems.

An FF Draughtsman prepares detailed technical drawings and layouts for fire fighting systems including piping sprinkler systems hydrants and fire pumps. The draughtsman works closely with fire safety engineers and project teams to translate fire protection designs into accurate constructible drawings that comply with relevant codes and standards.
- Produce detailed CAD drawings for fire fighting systems (sprinklers hydrants fire pumps piping layouts).
- Convert fire safety design concepts and specifications into clear accurate plans and schematics.
- Collaborate with engineers architects and contractors to ensure drawings meet technical and regulatory requirements.
- Revise drawings based on design changes or site conditions.
- Prepare as-built drawings after installation completion.
- Ensure compliance with NFPA IFC or other local fire safety codes.
- Maintain drawing records and project documentation.
- Diploma or certification in Drafting Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Proficient in CAD software such as AutoCAD Revit or equivalent.
- Knowledge of fire fighting equipment and systems.
- Familiarity with fire safety standards and codes.
- Good attention to detail and ability to interpret engineering drawings.
- Basic understanding of hydraulics in fire fighting piping layouts is a plus.
