Job summary
A leading engineering firm in the United Arab Emirates is seeking a Project Engineer – HVAC to oversee planning, execution, and quality control of HVAC installations. The role requires coordinating with various stakeholders, supervising technical operations, and ensuring adherence to budget and timelines. The ideal candidate will have experience in HVAC systems and project management. This position offers a dynamic work environment and the opportunity to lead HVAC projects successfully.
Qualifications
- Experience coordinating HVAC works and managing project delivery.
- Proficiency in compliance with ASHRAE standards and local regulations.
- Ability to prepare detailed reports and documentation.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Project Manager in planning and execution of HVAC works.
- Supervise installation, testing, and commissioning of HVAC systems.
- Prepare daily/weekly progress reports.
Skills
The Project Engineer – HVAC is responsible for planning, execution, coordination, and monitoring of HVAC works at site to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with contract specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.
- Assist the Project Manager in planning and execution of HVAC works.
- Coordinate with consultants, clients, subcontractors, and internal teams for smooth project delivery.
- Review project drawings, specifications, and BOQs related to HVAC systems.
- Prepare method statements, work schedules, and material submittals.
- Monitor site progress and ensure adherence to approved drawings and timelines.
- Supervise installation, testing, and commissioning of HVAC systems including chillers, AHUs, FCUs, ducting, piping, and ventilation systems.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, ASHRAE standards, local authority regulations, and safety norms.
- Identify technical issues at site and propose effective solutions.
- Conduct inspections and ensure quality control of HVAC works.
- Assist in preparation of work programs and manpower planning.
- Coordinate material procurement and ensure timely availability at site.
- Monitor material consumption and control wastage.
- Support in variation identification, technical clarifications, and site instructions.
- Prepare daily/weekly progress reports.
- Maintain as-built drawings, inspection requests (IRs), and test reports.
- Coordinate with QA/QC team for inspections and approvals.
- Assist in preparation of handover documents and O&M manuals.
