Electrical Technician - Outdoor Lighting

Your Opportunity

We are looking for an Electrical Technician - Outdoor Lighting to carry out preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance on outdoor lighting-related systems and assets individually or as part of a technical team, with a designated area of operation, whilst ensuring minimal disruption to the business operations. Carry out all technical and safety instructions from staff to conform to business operations policy and procedures.

Key Accountabilities:

• Correctly set up and use electrical test equipment and interpret the test results, including Digital Multi Meter, Insulation Resistance Tester.
• Perform maintenance tasks on Distribution Board, High Mast Pole, and Flood Light Fixture.
• Conduct High Mast Lighting Inspection and Servicing.
• Replace different types of fixtures for high mast lighting.
• Aim and orient lights for correct direction.
• Operate and maintain high mast lowering mechanism.
• Promote a Zero Harm culture within own team and all suppliers and subcontractors engaged on project work.
• Ensure security and integrity of all data provided, including reporting performance, finance, and customer information, referencing Serco non-disclosure policy.
• Exercise personal duty of care for their own health, safety, and welfare, and for those affected by their acts or omissions; reference SMS GSOP-HSE1-6 Serco organizational HSE responsibilities.
• Report any accidents, incidents, breaches, or potential breaches to appropriate management or the speak-up process.

Specific Requirements:

• Holding High School Certificate or above.
• Minimum of four (4) years relevant experience within outdoor lighting or similar.
• Airport experience is considered an added advantage for this position.
• This position requires a very good level of spoken and written English to communicate with staff, stakeholders, and customers in oral and written forms.
• Ability to perform safely and correctly the following on low voltage (LV) equipment and systems:
• Electrical Isolations and LOTO.
• Planned preventative maintenance (PM) routines.
• Corrective maintenance (CM).
• Breakdown maintenance (BD).
