Job Description: Accountant (CA Qualified)

Position: Accountant

Location: Dubai

Industry: Fashion Retail

Salary: AED

Experience: 6-7 years

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Management:
   1. Prepare and maintain financial statements in compliance with industry standards.
   2. Oversee cash flow budgeting and forecasting processes.
2. Audit and Compliance:
   1. Ensure compliance with UAE financial regulations and standards.
   2. Coordinate internal and external audits ensuring timely resolution of discrepancies.
3. Accounts Payable/Receivable:
   1. Manage accounts payable and receivable processes.
   2. Ensure timely invoicing collections and supplier payments.
4. Taxation:
   1. Handle VAT filings reconciliations and ensure adherence to tax laws.
   2. Provide support for any tax audits or inquiries.
5. Reporting:
   1. Develop accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
   2. Present financial insights and recommendations to senior management.
6. Inventory and Cost Control:
   1. Monitor inventory accounting and reconciliation processes.
   2. Implement strategies for cost optimization and waste reduction.
7. Team Collaboration:
   1. Liaise with cross-functional teams including procurement and sales to streamline operations.
   2. Provide mentorship and support to junior accounting staff.

Key Requirements:

1. Qualification: Chartered Accountant (CA) certification.
2. Experience: Minimum of 6-7 years in accounting, preferably in the fashion retail industry.
3. Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.
4. Knowledge: Strong understanding of UAE taxation laws and financial regulations.
5. Soft Skills: Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Preferences:

Candidates with prior experience in the fashion retail industry will be given priority.

Must demonstrate a track record of financial integrity and strategic problem-solving.
