Structural Design Engineer jobs in Italy

Our client is a growing engineering and fabrication organization delivering complex industrial and commercial steel structures across the UAE.

We are looking for a Structural Steel Design Engineer who is technically strong, detail-driven, and experienced in delivering high-quality steel design solutions in line with international codes and local authority requirements.

Responsibilities

• The candidate will be responsible for the analysis, design, and design support of hot-rolled structural steel systems including pipe racks, platforms, buildings, canopies, and industrial facilities.
• The role involves close coordination with detailing, fabrication, and site teams to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant designs from concept to execution.
• Perform structural analysis and design of steel structures using AISC, BS EN, and Eurocode.
• Prepare design calculations, load assessments, connection designs, and technical reports.
• Review and approve fabrication and connection drawings prepared by detailing teams.
• Coordinate with architectural, MEP, and civil teams for interface and load transfer requirements.
• Carry out design checks for lifting, erection, and temporary structures.
• Ensure compliance with Dubai Municipality, Trakhees, and other local authorities.
• Participate in design reviews, value engineering, and technical meetings.
• Provide engineering support during fabrication, erection, and site execution.
• Maintain compliance with company quality, safety, and sustainability standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil / Structural Engineering (Master’s Degree is an advantage).
• Valid UAE Society of Engineers membership or eligibility for registration.
• Dubai Municipality–approved Structural Engineer status is preferred.

Required Skills

• 7–10 years of experience in structural steel design (hot-rolled).
• Strong exposure to industrial and commercial steel structures (pipe racks, platforms, mezzanines, canopies, plant buildings, etc.).
• Experience working with fabrication shops and connection detailing.
• Familiarity with authority submission and approval processes (DM, Trakhees, Emaar, ADNOC, etc.).
• UAE or GCC project experience is highly preferred.
