Role Overview:
You will lead the Finance & Accounting Department and be accountable for the full spectrum of finance and accounting functions within the company. In addition, you will take charge of investor relations activities.
A key focus of this role involves strengthening the team, processes, methodologies, and systems to drive operational efficiency and support the company’s expansion both locally and across the region.
Working closely with the management, you will analyse financial performance, deliver insights, and implement initiatives to enhance profitability. The role also covers overseeing the monthly closing process, as well as leading budgeting, forecasting, and investor engagement efforts during fundraising activities.
Job Responsibilities
Monitor and report on the financial performance of both projects and the overall company by preparing and presenting accurate financial reports within set deadlines
Supervise the finance team and ensure timely month-end closings
Manage and enhance the company’s financial accounting, monitoring, and reporting systems
Lead fundraising activities and handle investor relations
Develop and implement financial management frameworks to reduce financial risk
Monitor, interpret, and manage budgets and cash flows, including forecasting future trends
Perform reviews and identify opportunities for cost optimisation
Build and maintain relationships with external parties such as auditors, solicitors, bankers, and government agencies (e.g., IRAS)
Provide financial analysis and insights as required by management
Oversee tax compliance, internal controls, and audit matters
Manage the financial reporting and consolidation processes for the Group, including both local and overseas entities
Support the development of strategic and long-term business plans
Conduct business performance analysis and simulations to support decision-making
Advise on and manage the financial set-up of local and overseas affiliates
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or a related discipline
Recognised financial qualifications such as CPA, ACA, CFA, or ACCA are advantageous
7 to 9 years of experience in tech-related companies, including at least 2 years of experience leading a Finance & Accounting team.
Hands-on involvement in ERP system implementation
Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
