A leading jewellery company in Singapore is seeking an experienced finance team leader. You will supervise Finance Executives, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with local regulations. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Accountancy and at least 8 years of relevant experience, including 3 years in a supervisory role. Strong leadership and analytical skills are vital, along with proficiency in Microsoft Excel. This position involves collaboration with banks and auditors, and oversight of financial operations.
Lead and supervise a team of Finance Executives and provide direction to all aspects of the Companies’ financial reporting and accounting operations.
Prepare and ensure timely and accurate analysis of monthly management reports.
In charge of GST and income tax filing for all SG entities.
Responsible for preparing audited financial statements for all SG entities.
Participate and prepare budgets and forecasts for Group consolidation.
Review accounting journals, bank reconciliations, suppliers’ reconciliations and month end schedules prepared by Finance Executives and provide guidance to Finance Executives on how to resolve outstanding issues (if any) noted in monthly schedules.
Manage Companies’ cash flow and treasury function.
Ensure compliance with all in-country local statutory accounting, tax, and relevant regulatory requirements (including Singapore’s anti-money laundering and Anti-Terrorism Financing Act)
Liaise with banks, auditors, tax consultants, corporate secretarial and legal officers.
Review, update and improve Companies’ internal control, policies, and procedures.
Liaise with internal and external auditors on year-end statutory stock take and cash count at retail stores and HQ office to ensure proper safeguard of Company’s cash and inventory.
Assist in SG insurance declaration and renewal matters.
Drive digital transformation by identifying areas for technology adoption to help streamline work process for both Finance and Retail Operation.
Provide ERP support for Singapore and Malaysia Finance team. This includes reporting system issues to ERP solution providers with close follow-ups to ensure system issues are duly resolved.
Any other ad-hoc finance and operation duties (as assigned).
Degree in Accountancy, ACCA, or CPA qualification.
Minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience, with at least 3 years of supervisory role.
Meticulous, strong leadership, good communication and analytical skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint.
