Position OverviewThe company is seeking an
energetic and hands-on Commercial Finance Manager to join their finance team. This role will cover three critical areas:
Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Supply Chain/Costing/Pricing, and
Business Partnering with Distributors. The ideal candidate will be proactive, results-driven, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. This is an excellent opportunity to directly influence business decisions and contribute to the company’s ongoing success.
Key Responsibilities- Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
- Lead the development of annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans.
- Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to senior leadership to drive business performance.
- Analyze financial trends and business performance to identify growth opportunities and areas for cost optimization.
- Develop and maintain financial models to support decision-making across the business.
- Supply Chain / Costing / Pricing
- Oversee costing and pricing strategies for products, ensuring competitiveness while maintaining margins.
- Collaborate with the supply chain team to optimize costs and improve operational efficiency.
- Review and assess supplier contracts, pricing arrangements, and inventory management to ensure profitability and cost control.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain and cost processes.
- Business Partnering & Distributor Liaison
- Act as the key financial liaison between the finance team and external distributors, ensuring alignment on financial targets and performance.
- Partner with key stakeholders across the business to develop financial strategies that support business growth and profitability.
- Provide financial insights and analysis to distributors, driving performance through effective communication and support.
- Lead commercial discussions with distributors, supporting pricing negotiations, forecasting, and contract terms.
What We’re Looking For- Energy & Drive: A proactive, hands-on approach with a “can-do” attitude—willing to get involved in the day-to-day operations and grow with the business.
- Experience: Proven experience in FP&A, costing, pricing, and business partnering, ideally within a fast-paced, consumer-facing business.
- Strong Analytical Skills: Ability to assess financial performance, create financial models, and provide actionable insights to senior management.
- Stakeholder Management: Excellent communicator with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders, particularly with distributors.
- Commercial Acumen: Strong understanding of commercial drivers, supply chain dynamics, and pricing strategy.
- Entrepreneurial Spirit: Ability to adapt and thrive in a growing and changing business environment.
- Qualifications: A degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; ACCA, ACA, or CIMA qualification (or equivalent) preferred.
