Roles & Responsibilities
- Supports Portfolio Management Head in developing benchmarks for the operating assets, identifying key driver analysis.
- Initiate digitalisation to track the performance of the Gas Line of Business assets providing a comparison amongst the operating assets.
- Assigned specific overseas Gas & related services and other related businesses’ Singapore assets to work closely with their CFOs to assess the performance, potential risks impacting performance and opportunities to optimise performance.
- Assign specific operating assets to track all initiatives identified and work closely with the Heads and CFO to ensure gaps are met.
- Review investment and contracts put up and provide recommendation before submission to IDC, Exco or SCI Board for approval.
- Perform monthly consolidated financial reporting for the GAS Line of Business (LOB), providing variance analysis of each of the operating assets, highlighting and tracking the levers and drivers to meet the budget/forecast.
- Perform quarterly and yearly budget to ensure key assumptions input into the forecast and budget is robust and achievable.
- Helps the GAS LOB propose and develop yearly Balance Score Card (BSC), track and work out lever to achieve the targets set for the year.
- Participate in Board Strategy targets for Gas LOB.
- Constantly review the GAS LOB funding needs, projected returns simulation to identify opportunities.
- Perform Post-Investment Review (PIR) for completed projects as a Finance Lead.
- Participates in green and brownfield M&A acquisition projects on an ad-hoc basis.
Qualifications and Experience
- Degree in Business Administration or Accountancy (CFA or CA preferred) with at least 5-7 years of managerial position;
- At least 3-5 years of experience in financial analyst role
- Having oil and gas experience (preferred)
Skills / Competencies & Preferred Characteristics
- Strong financial modelling skill and investment evaluation.
- Good understanding of accounting and group consolidation
- Strong in MS Excel and Powerpoint skills (able to develop financial model and prepare presentation information)
- Resourceful and able to search for market information independently.
- Able to handle peers at all levels of the organisation
- Strong commercial and structured analytical skills, attention to detail
- Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment under pressure and tight deadlines
- Strong work ethic with a positive, can-do attitude to perform data analysis and resolve complex problems
- Keen developer of digitalising the analysis work
- Excellent written, oral communication and interpersonal skills
