About the job:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Regional Controller/Finance Manager to oversee all financial operations across our Singapore, India, Malaysia, and Thailand entities. This role is pivotal in ensuring accurate financial reporting, robust internal controls, and strategic financial planning. The ideal candidate will be proficient in Xero/other modern accounting software and possess a strong understanding of international statutory compliance.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Controllership/Accounting:
  2. Accounting & Invoicing: Oversee all accounting functions, including invoicing, accounts receivable (AR) collection, and expense management using Xero.
  3. Vendor Payments & Employee Reimbursements: Manage vendor payments and employee reimbursement processes, ensuring timely and accurate disbursements.
  4. Month-End Close: Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  5. Statutory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all local statutory requirements across Singapore, India, Malaysia, and Thailand, including tax filings and regulatory reporting.
  6. Consolidation of Group Financial Statements (FS): Consolidate financial statements for the group, providing a comprehensive view of the company's financial performance.
  7. Finance Business Partnership:
  8. Reporting: Generate and analyze financial reports for management, stakeholders, and external parties.
  9. Reporting Setup: Establish and maintain comprehensive financial reports for effective financial analysis and decision-making.
  10. Budgeting & Forecasting: Develop and manage budgets and forecasts, with a strong emphasis on cash flow management.
  11. FP&A (Financial Planning & Analysis) & HC (Headcount) Utilization: Provide insightful financial analysis and monitor headcount utilization to support strategic decision-making.
  12. External Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports to the Board of Directors (BOD) and investors.
  13. External Relationships:
  14. Banker Relationships: Manage relationships with banking partners, ensuring efficient banking operations and access to financial services.
  15. Vendor Relationships: Liaise with external outsourcing/other vendors, facilitating audits and ensuring compliance with auditing standards.
  16. Key Supplier Relationships: Maintain positive relationships with key suppliers, ensuring smooth transactions and favorable terms.

Requirement and Qualification:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional accounting certifications (e.g., CPA, ACCA) are highly desirable.
  2. Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role, with regional responsibilities.
  3. Strong proficiency in Xero and other modern accounting software.
  4. Extensive knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards (IFRS, local GAAP).
  5. Proven track record of managing statutory compliance across multiple countries (Singapore, India, Malaysia, Thailand).
  6. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  7. Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  8. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  9. Experience with cash flow focused budgeting and forecasting.
  10. Experience in dealing with external auditors and bankers.

Preferred Skills:

  1. Experience with IT services or project-based billing models.
  2. Knowledge of project costing and time tracking tools.
