Role Overview:
Are you a strategic and tech-savvy finance leader ready to redefine what financial operations look like in a modern lifestyle hotel? At Royal Plaza on Scotts, the Director of Finance is not just a steward of numbers—but a business partner, transformation architect, and innovation catalyst.
We are looking for a hands-on Director of Finance who has successfully led the transformation of finance functions into fully paperless environments through digital workflows, automation, and process simplification. You must be deeply proficient in finance technology, from cloud-based accounting systems to procurement platforms and dashboarding tools.
In this dynamic role, you'll drive full-spectrum financial leadership—from reporting, forecasting, and controls, to overseeing our procurement and inventory operations. Looking ahead, you'll also contribute to future initiatives including the design of long-term wealth-building schemes for our senior team—such as pension-linked investment structures or RSU-equivalent programs, tailored to a privately held organization.
If you're a future-ready finance leader who thrives on improving systems, empowering people, and unlocking business value, we invite you to lead the charge at one of Singapore’s most iconic independent hotels.
Key Responsibilities:

- Continuously assess and upgrade financial systems and tools to enhance real-time visibility, speed, and automation.
- Embed scalable financial processes that balance compliance with agility.
- Provide leadership on investment planning models, including vesting structures or deferred compensation programs for senior talent.
- Drive financial planning, forecasting, and budget management with commercial insight.
Operational & Financial Management
- Oversee daily finance functions while ensuring regulatory compliance and brand governance.
- Conduct regular financial reviews and variance analyses with a data-first lens.
- Implement strong internal controls to safeguard assets and reduce risk exposure.
- Partner with internal and external stakeholders on audits, statutory submissions, and special projects.
Stakeholder & Commercial Partnership
- Work closely with the General Manager, Leadership Committee, and Heads of Department to align financial decisions with strategic goals.
- Serve as a liaison to the owners' finance representatives, banks, auditors, and government entities.
- Provide financial modeling and due diligence support for strategic initiatives.
Materials & Procurement Oversight
- Oversee procurement strategy with a focus on transparency, digital controls, and supplier performance.
- Monitor stock levels, purchasing trends, and inventory costs using integrated systems.
- Champion sustainability and cost efficiency across supply chain practices.

- Demonstrated understanding of investment planning, retirement schemes, or long-term incentive structures within private companies.
- Excellent commercial judgment, systems thinking, and stakeholder communication skills.
Competencies
- Tech-forward mindset with strong process orientation.
- Strategic, analytical, and commercially aware.
- Collaborative leadership style with strong communication skills.
