Responsibilities

1. Drive the overall analytics development program, with a specific focus on the application of machine learning techniques for insider data theft and application misuse detection.
2. Develop and implement advanced machine learning models to:
   1. correlate and prioritise alerts from data loss prevention systems,
   2. detect anomalies in user behaviour and application usage patterns to identify potential insider threats.
3. Design and develop visualisation and workflow functionalities to support the business and operational units in the review and investigation of suspicious events and incidents.
4. Collaborate with the business and operational units to develop use cases and prioritise areas for improvement to ensure that analytics solutions are aligned with business objectives.
5. Utilise big data and analytics platform infrastructure components such as container technology, Kafka, S3 buckets, etc. to process and store large amounts of data.
6. Manage a team to provide mentorship and guidance as needed.
7. Stay up to date with the latest developments in machine learning, data science and cybersecurity in terms of big data and analytics platform and infrastructure components.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science or a related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years' experience in data science, machine learning or cybersecurity.
3. Strong understanding of machine learning and data mining techniques, specifically on the application of machine learning techniques to detect insider threats.
4. Proven experience in leading teams and managing projects.
5. Experience working in a financial or banking environment is a plus.
6. Strong communications and leadership skills.
7. Understanding and knowledge of big data and analytics platform infrastructure components such as container technology, Kafka, S3 buckets, etc.
