Chemical Engineer jobs in Singapore

As the maintenance gatekeeper, you will be responsible for assessing notifications prepared by production regarding plant and process safety, environmental protection, reliability of the plant, cost-effectiveness, and optimization of the process. You will transform approved notifications into work orders in SAP.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Check that work performed by maintenance contractors meets specifications.
2. Maintain master documents and update plant documentation to company standards.
3. Oversee plant turnaround activities.
4. Support the overall continuous improvement process and prepare recommendations for alternative equipment or improved plant design.
5. Contribute to maintaining and administering facility quality, safety, and environmental programs/processes, including non-conformance action items and MOC processes.
6. Maintain and optimize all maintenance plans, including preventive measures, inspections, and routine works.
7. Conduct cost analysis and prepare reports for maintenance effectiveness.

Requirements:

1. Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Professional Degree, Master's Degree in Engineering (Chemical), Engineering (Mechanical), or equivalent.
2. At least 1 year of working experience in the related field is required.
3. Preferably Junior Executives specializing in Maintenance/Repair (Facilities & Machinery), Engineering - Chemical, or equivalent.
4. Good understanding of chemical or mechanical process equipment.
5. Strong communication skills to foster teamwork and knowledge exchange.
6. Applicants must be willing to work in Jurong Island.
