Purpose and Scope:

The Senior Principal Mechanical Engineer plays a pivotal role; the PE has to be engaged when submission to the relevant authorities are required, such as getting a development control approval, as well as various permits to start construction works in a project.

Responsibilities

1. Responsible for the checking and design of mechanical works from concept to detailed design and provision of QP supervisory works for projects.
2. Endorsement of the authorities’ submissions, supervision & apply for certificate of completion as Professional Engineer (Mechanical) for the projects undertaken by the company.
3. Conversant in local code and authority requirements, ensuring project compliance to the requirements.
4. Able to perform analysis and guide engineers to analyze and provide technical advice and solutions when working with stakeholders.
5. Carry out project management, planning, financial management of project, contract administration, ensure key deadlines are met and teamwork together effectively.
6. Liaise with multiple stakeholders for civil & structure, architectural, mechanical and electrical works.
7. Preparation of tender documents and specifications.
8. Design management, coordination with contractors, subcontractors and external consultants.
9. Proactive communication, mentoring and guiding the reporting Engineers and Designers for learning and development.
10. Ensure the smooth completion of the project within schedule and budget.
11. Perform any other duties as assigned.

Requirements

1. Minimum degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
2. Registered Professional Engineer with PEB Singapore/ Specialized Professional Engineer.
3. More than 10 years in the industry.
4. Experience in both construction management and design.
5. Conversant in Engineering analysis design software, BIM software, CFD simulations tools and other mechanical/fire engineering software.
6. Only Singaporean.
