We are seeking a Senior Engineer/Consultant – Electrical Failure Investigation to join our team. The successful candidate will be based in Singapore but may opt to reside in other Southeast Asian countries such as Malaysia, Indonesia, or Thailand.

This role offers a unique opportunity for career advancement, with the potential to become the Head of Electrical Engineering within a few years.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate should be able to take ownership of investigating complex engineering incidents with support from other colleagues. The key responsibilities are as follows:

• Technical Analysis: Review technical documents such as single line drawings, condition monitoring data, maintenance records, incident reports, and CCTV footage.
• Site Investigations: Conduct global site visits and meetings, with a primary focus on Southeast Asia.
• Testing Coordination: Manage and liaise with third-party testing laboratories.
• Reporting & Presentation: Prepare clear and concise reports to communicate complex technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
• Client Engagement: Present findings to key stakeholders during market meetings.
• Internal Support: Provide technical support to other colleagues on electrical system-related cases.
• Business Development: Actively participate in and organise marketing, networking, and educational events.

Qualifications & Experience

• Education: Master’s degree in electrical engineering with 3+ years of relevant industrial experience, or a fresh PhD in Electrical Engineering. Candidates with a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering will also be considered if he or she has extensive relevant industry experience.
• Technical Expertise: Expert knowledge in electrical systems. Experience with heavy-duty transformers, generators, and battery energy storage systems is preferred.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical findings to diverse audiences.
• Language Skills: Professional fluency in English is required; proficiency in Chinese, Malay, or Bahasa is an advantage.
• Adaptability: Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Flexibility: Willingness to travel on short notice.
