Logistics System Testing Supervisor - 1 year contract- Chinese Market
As a logistic system testing supervisor, you will be responsible for leading a team of Logistics System Test Officers to conduct on-site testing of inventory and stock inbound/outbound processes in automated warehousing environments, ensuring all activities are carried out accurately, efficiently, and in line with the established test plan.
Key Responsibilities
Test Plan & Operations Management
- Oversee the full lifecycle of test plans for inventory and stock inbound/outbound processes.
- Identify and elevate any operational or functional issues observed during testing.
- Document all identified issues clearly, accurately, and in the prescribed format; without guessing, concealing, or attempting to resolve issues independently.
- Provide timely and transparent reports of testing results to the client’s team in Japan.
- Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to clarify and resolve testing results.
- Support officers in executing assigned test plans and managing escalations effectively.
- Ensure all test cases and results meet defined quality standards.
- Monitor, track, and follow up on pending test cases.
- Assess and adjust test case priorities (upgrades/downgrades) as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with all established processes.
- Record all issues and resolutions in the Production Log and ensure timely follow-up.
Quality & Process Improvement
- Drive service and process improvements based on client requirement
- Implement corrective actions and ensure successful execution of quality improvements.
- Review and update client documentation, including scripted solutions, work instruction templates, and knowledge repositories.
- Document and maintain additional technical knowledge, including process documents, user manuals, internal guides, and FAQs.
- Provide constructive feedback to the client for continuous improvement.
Reporting & Analysis
- Perform analysis of test plans and test cases to identify gaps or improvement areas.
- Generate and deliver required reports for both management and clients, including weekly and monthly compilations and presentations.
- Lead, coach, and manage the team to ensure high performance and consistent quality of work.
- Provide training and mentorship to team members to strengthen skills and knowledge.
- Offer clear directions, guidelines, and support to ensure team members meet expectations.
- Foster collaboration, knowledge sharing, and professional growth within the team.
Job Requirements
- Proficiency in both English and Chinese, with the ability to use both as working languages
- Basic knowledge and relevant experience in logistics software or warehouse management systems (specifically within logistics or warehousing industries).
- No application software development or software testing experience required.
- High attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to handle repetitive testing tasks diligently
- Honest and reliable, with the ability to report issues truthfully.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multicultural team (Japan, Malaysia, China) and convey information clearly
- Possess good leadership to lead a team with past experience exhibiting capability to manage stress and urgency in a critical environment
- Expected to own people management responsibility including conducting interviews for hiring Logistic System Testing Officer and managing team member’s quality & performance
- Expected to generate reports including failure case analysis and service improvement initiatives, must be an analytical person
- Willingness to work overtime when required
