Tax Accountant

c£50,000 subject to experience, plus bonus and benefits
Hybrid working, 3 days in the office

T2M Resourcing have been retained on an exclusive basis to recruit a Tax Accountant for one of Manchester’s leading companies. This is a great opportunity for a qualified accountant / Tax accountant to work within the corporate office of a major international group that has a vibrant and diverse culture.
Responsibilities of the Tax Accountant:
- Calculation of tax figures (with supporting commentary) on an individual entity and consolidated group of companies. The role will have primary responsibility for UK entities but also some involvement with international group companies.
- Preparation of corporate tax computations and returns for the group's UK entities, liaising with HMRC as required.
- Monitoring international entity tax returns - ensuring that they are submitted on a timely basis.
- Review of internal controls to ensure robust compliance.
- Ensuring governance of internal controls aligned to Corporate Criminal Office legislation.
- Involvement in ad-hoc projects and tax advisory work across the group.
Requirements to be successful as a Tax Accountant:- A qualified accountant or tax accountant - either trained in practice or in a corporate tax team.
- Strong tax accounting skills with up to date tax regulations knowledge.
- Good IT skills - ideally with experience of using Alphatax software.
- International and/or tax consolidation experience would be advantageous.
- Keen to continue to learn and develop (on a technical and professional level).
- Happy to work on a hybrid basis with an average of 3 days a week in the office.
