Our client is a well-established electrical contractor based in Sussex, proudly serving the region for over 45 years. They provide a comprehensive range of electrical services to commercial clients, local authorities, schools, colleges, academies, housing associations, and private individuals across Sussex and Kent. With a workforce of 62 employees, including 20 office-based staff and a team of trusted subcontractors, the company is committed to delivering high-quality service and building long-term client relationships.

They are currently seeking a fully qualified and experienced electrician to join their reactive maintenance team, working on the Brighton & Hove Council commercial contract. This role focuses on reactive repairs with occasional small-scale installations across a variety of council-operated commercial premises.

1. Working as part of a team of 4, delivering reactive maintenance and remedial installations
2. Covering commercial properties including libraries, town halls, public facilities, and buildings within the Pavilion estate
3. Responding to urgent repairs and maintenance requests
4. Carrying out minor electrical installations as required
5. Interfacing with council representatives and maintaining professional relationships

1. 10–15 years of experience (including apprenticeship)
2. Fully qualified: NVQ Level 3, AM2, and 18th Edition
3. Testing & Inspection certification (desirable but not essential)
4. Full, clean UK driving licence
5. Clean DBS check
6. Professional, client-facing manner with excellent communication skills
7. Must live locally to Brighton
