A leading energy distribution company seeks a Senior Asset Data Scientist to join their Bristol-based team. This hybrid role involves developing models and algorithms to extract insights from complex data, mentoring junior data scientists, and contributing to data governance initiatives. We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Asset Data Scientist to join our newly established Asset Intelligence and Data Science Team, based in Bristol or Castle Donington.
This is a chance to start afresh—building new tools, shaping how things happen, and tackling a diverse range of complex challenges that will keep you engaged and motivated. You’ll work closely with business stakeholders to apply advanced analytics and data science techniques that deliver commercial and customer value, while leading initiatives to improve data quality and structure.
As a senior member of the team, you’ll mentor colleagues, oversee product and process quality, and gain significant exposure to the engineering domain. This role is ideal for someone passionate about problem-solving, driven by making a difference, and excited to work with our asset base to help keep the lights on. You’ll play a pivotal role in enabling National Grid Electricity Distribution (NGED) to make data-driven decisions that optimise performance and drive growth.
This is a hybrid role, offering a blend of home and office working, with approximately 2–3 days per week in the office.
