Senior Architectural Technician/Technologist

Exciting new opportunity with our clients based out of their South West office in Somerset. They are looking to expand their team with the addition of a Senior Technician/Technologist or Technical Architect. They have had the greenlight on numerous projects within the new year with a strong focus on the Residential, Healthcare, and Industrial sectors. Looking to speak to candidates with a strong Technical focus and project running experience to join their talented multidisciplinary team.

If you have a minimum of 5 years of experience within UK residential & Healthcare and have demonstrable experience delivering across the Technical stages with the adaptability to work independently or as part of a team, this could be a great opportunity to progress your career. Our clients are looking for a driven individual that will integrate well into their team and bring value and technical knowledge to their projects.

1. Prepare and submit planning applications, with a comprehensive understanding of the planning system, including NPPF, Local Plans, and applicable guidelines.
2. Create and manage project timelines and oversee a small team of architects, assistants, and technologists to ensure successful project delivery.
3. Fulfill Designer CDM responsibilities, with a solid understanding of CDM regulations and the BSA Principal Designer role.
4. Participate in site appraisals, surveys, client meetings, and site inspections to support project development and ensure on-site implementation.
5. Contribute to a collaborative team environment, mentoring and supporting colleagues to foster professional growth and collective learning.
6. Develop and refine design proposals and planning applications, progressing them through to technical specifications, tender documentation, and detailed construction drawings.
7. Proficient in all RIBA work stages, with a particular emphasis on stages 4+.
8. Liase with clients, consultants, contractors, and other construction professionals. Lead presentations, chair meetings, and manage agendas and minutes to ensure clear communication and project alignment.

1. 5+ years' experience as a Senior with experience in the Residential and commercial sectors.
2. Strong understanding of UK building regulations & construction methods.
3. Proficiency in AutoCAD & Revit - Essential.
4. Demonstrable experience in large scale projects.
5. On-site experience with access to own transport.
6. Project running experience - advantageous.
7. Proven record in a senior role.

A competitive salary of £40,000 - £45,000, depending on experience. Agile flexible working arrangements. Competitive company benefits included.
