Job description

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Architectural Technologist to join our creative design studio, specializing in contemporary private residential projects. As an integral part of our team, you will help bridge the gap between concept and construction.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of building technology, construction detailing, and the ability to produce accurate technical drawings and specifications. You will work closely with the team to bring concepts to life. This role is an excellent opportunity for a talented professional to contribute to the delivery of bespoke residential projects in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Producing high-quality technical drawings, construction details, and specifications for private residential projects.
  2. Ensuring compliance with building regulations, planning policies, and industry standards throughout the design and construction process.
  3. Assisting in the preparation and submission of planning, building regulations, and other necessary documentation.
  4. Contributing to the selection of materials, finishes, and construction techniques, ensuring they align with the design intent.
  5. Attending site meetings and visits to monitor progress and ensure quality control during construction.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  1. A relevant qualification in Architectural Technology or a related field.
  2. Proven experience in the residential sector, with a portfolio demonstrating contemporary private residential projects.
  3. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Sketch-up, and Adobe InDesign.
  4. Strong understanding of construction detailing, building regulations, and the technical aspects of design.
  5. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  6. A proactive and enthusiastic approach to problem-solving and collaboration.
