IREC is looking for a tech transfer officer. The professional will be integrated within the IREC’s Corporate Development & Technology Transfer Department as part of the valorization and technology transfer team.

In particular, tasks include:

• Identification and follow-up of research results generated at IREC’s competitive projects.
• Support IP protection and exploitation strategies of identified research results, market prospection, elaboration of commercialization plans, support on business plan design, search of licensees, etc.

The professional ideally would be skilled and have knowledge of protection, valorization and exploitation of research results. Capacity to work in a team, flexible, goals oriented, innovative, with initiative and problem solving skills would be valuable. High level of writing, communication and negotiation skills are mandatory.

Requirements:

1. Essential:
2. University Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or related.
3. Knowledge of energy technologies and sector.
4. Knowledge of Technology Transfer and Industrial Property concepts.
5. Good command of English, Spanish and Catalan.

1. Advantageous:
2. PhD in the field of energy.
3. Background in IP management, legal and / or KTT activities.
4. Deep understanding of energy sector and technologies.
5. Experience at research or technology centers.
6. Experience in research-industry collaboration.
7. High proficiency in MS Office tools.
