We are looking for a Senior Platform Engineer for a revolutionary Startup that has raised $10 Million with a very high performance team (Ex Microsoft & Google). Their user-first sourcing SaaS helps Procurement make better sourcing decisions faster. From large enterprises to SMEs, they believe that easy to use and data driven sourcing decisions should be available to every company, no matter their size, industry, or maturity.

Your mission:

1. Lead Platform efforts, like building and evolving a highly automated cloud-native setup (Azure).
2. Understand the needs of other engineers and build libraries, setup infrastructure, CI pipelines, self-service capabilities, as well as guidelines to help make them as productive as possible.
3. Evolve our infrastructure as Code setup (in Pulumi with TypeScript).
4. Keep improving our Observability solution (Datadog) to further reduce troubleshooting time, early alerting and gaining insights.
5. Have a big impact across the engineering team by driving improvements on scalability, performance, quality, and security.
6. Decide on what topics you should spend your time on, based on requests and needs you receive/identify from other engineers.
7. Be up to date with latest industry trends and identify opportunities to drive technical and process improvements.

Important: This is an Individual Contributor position, answering and working directly with the CTO.

What we are looking for:

1. Creative and empathic personality with a strong desire to achieve results together with others.
2. Passionate learner that shows initiative and leads by example.
3. Love for technology with experience architecting scalable cloud-native solutions.
4. 5+ years experience as a professional software engineer with focus on NodeJS and TypeScript. Python is a plus.
5. 3+ years experience developing cloud-native solutions in Azure, AWS, or GCP.
6. 3+ years experience working in a microservice environment, understanding the benefits and challenges.
7. 2+ years experience focusing on managing Cloud infrastructure (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).
8. 2+ years experience working with Kubernetes.
9. It's a plus if you have experience in a highly automated environment embracing Continuous Deployment.
10. It's a plus if you have advanced knowledge and experience with Infrastructure as Code, Immutable Infrastructure, GitOps.
11. Professional proficiency in English, both written and oral, is a MUST.
