Paladin Security is seeking professional and compassionate Security Guards to join our healthcare team in Squamish, BC. In this role, you will play a critical part in maintaining a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, and staff within a healthcare facility. This position requires strong communication skills, professionalism under pressure, and the ability to work overnight shifts.
- Respond to alarms and emergency requests from clinical staff
- Use strong verbal de‑escalation skills to manage incidents safely and calmly
- Maintain confidentiality and discretion when handling private and sensitive information
- Complete detailed incident reports (missing patients, access requests, aggression from patients/family/visitors, etc.)
- Conduct regular patrols of the healthcare facility
- Follow PPE and safety protocols at all times
- Provide excellent customer service while maintaining a professional security presence
- Must live in Squamish
- Valid BC Security Worker License
- Must be comfortable working in a healthcare facility (including sight of and contact with blood, bodily fluids, deceased individuals, etc.)
- Must be available for 8‑hour overnight shifts at least 2 days per week, including weekends
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada
- Must be available to travel to Vancouver for one week for paid training
- Experience in customer service
- Comfortable working independently, making decisions, and taking the lead in emergency situations
