A health authority in British Columbia is seeking a Plumber to perform skilled plumbing work and ensure safety in all operations. The role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing systems, alongside possible supervision of maintenance staff. Key qualifications include a Certificate of Apprenticeship as a journeyman Plumber and relevant gas fitting certification. Reports to the Head Plumber or Maintenance Supervisor. The Plumber performs skilled plumbing work at the journeyman level by installing, constructing, altering, repairing, maintaining and servicing plumbing systems. May perform preventative maintenance, demand maintenance, and project work approaching the journeyman trades level on a variety of facility equipment and systems. May supervise designated maintenance staff and/or contractors as assigned. Provides related training and orientation to apprentices and designated staff as required.
Education, Training And Experience
Certificate of Apprenticeship or Trades Qualification Certificate as a journeyman Plumber, Class B level Gas Fitter\'s license with an electrical endorsement recognized by the Province of British Columbia; Valid Certificate of Competency as a Cross Connection Control Specialist issued by the American Water Works Association, British Columbia Section. Valid BC Drivers License. Two years recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
