We currently have one clinical opportunity for Senior Project Leader - Planning & Readiness to join the Redevelopment Planning & Readiness team. This Senior Project Leader (SPL) will support the following primary focus program groupings across all redevelopment projects:
Reporting to the Executive Project Director - Service Planning & Operational Readiness, the Senior Project Leader will provide leadership, partnership, and expert navigation for their assigned focus program grouping through all phases of planning, operations readiness, move-in, post-occupancy transition & evaluation for WRHN Redevelopment projects. The Senior Project Leader will oversee all aspects of planning and readiness of their focus areas, and in collaboration with the operational and medical leadership teams be accountable for ensuring the programs are operationally prepared to deliver the future of care. The Leader will work closely with their SPL peers across all programs in the organizations to ensure consistent, high standards of evidence-based care and service delivery are embedded into the planning and design of the new hospital build and site redevelopments, and to work with programs to develop enabling strategies and road maps to advance implementation and readiness.
The Senior Project Leader will bring a broad understanding of care and service delivery (consistent with their assigned focus programs); program and service planning; process improvement and workflow standardization/design/optimization; health human resources and staffing models; enabling technologies and equipment; change management; clinical design and emerging trends in clinical space planning; data evaluation & visualization; patient experience best practice and co-design; and staff training design and delivery. The Leader will work in close collaboration with their focus programs to identify, plan for and manage the interdependence between the project and other key strategic initiatives underway within the program, while striving for standardization between clinical programs and hospital sites that remains consistent with design principles and the functional program.
The Senior Project Leader should have good project management, documentation, report writing, and facilitation capabilities, as well as strong interpersonal skills with the ability to drive consensus and foster engagement in a complex environment. The Senior Project Leader will develop a good working knowledge of the policies, procedures, and processes of the Ministry of Health and Infrastructure Ontario and create and implement strategies to translate requirements and guide programs teams through timely input gathering and decision making at each project stage.
The Leader will maintain a working knowledge of operational, legislative and Accreditation standards to ensure planning and design meets or exceeds requirements, and can be operationalized effectively, efficiently, and consistently. The Senior Project Leader will maintain a future-oriented perspective and innovation mindset, ensuring emerging trends, research and evidence are considered in all project activities. The Leader will be accountable for identifying, communicating, and mitigating risks to project milestone delivery, and escalating to the Executive Project Director and the Joint VP Redevelopment as required.
Beginning with the Functional Program, the Senior Project Leader will work with other members of the Redevelopment Team and consultants to interpret timelines, planning, design, and technical applications to clinical and operational staff. The Senior Project Leader will be accountable to coordinate operational planning activities of the various user groups to ensure appropriate internal and external stakeholders are involved in project processes/report development, while being an expert, consistent clinical voice to the user engagement sessions able to identify impacts of changes across programs.
