As the Senior DevOps Lead, you will lead our team of talented developers. This role is pivotal in driving our technology initiatives forward and ensuring the successful integration and migration of our ERP systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development lifecycle management, including the implementation of a fully integrated ticket system and DevOps board.
Technology Leadership :
- Lead and mentor a team of developers in various initiatives, ensuring alignment with business priorities defined in collaboration with internal stakeholders and the CIO.
- Oversee the integration and migration of ERP systems to enhance organizational efficiency.
- Implement a software-defined lifecycle to streamline development processes.
- Establish a fully integrated ticket system and DevOps board to optimize workflow and project tracking.
- Engage with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Drive the development and reporting of projects, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards.
- Lead the conception, modification, and application of computer programs to drive divisional objectives.
- Provide strategic recommendations for system controls and protocols.
- Shape IT budgetary decisions, focusing on IT infrastructure encompassing both on-premises and cloud-hosted solutions.
- Conduct in-depth research to identify optimal solutions, making well-founded recommendations.
- Analyze existing IT systems and business models, pinpointing requirements for enhancement.
- Skillfully map and meticulously document interfaces between various Student Information Systems.
This role is directly responsible for the success of :
- Analytics, analysis, and reporting tools related to all data collected within Greater Saskatoon Catholic Schools (GSCS)
- In-house developed software applications and integrations
- Developing and implementing quality controls and departmental standards to ensure quality standards, organizational expectations, and regulatory requirements are met
- Gathering business process information to successfully scope and deploy projects related to data and software solutions
- Coordination of third-party software implementations
Required qualifications include :
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Development Lead or in a similar leadership role within the software development industry.
- Strong technical acumen with experience in enterprise-level software design and development.
- Familiarity with Microsoft.NET technologies, Agile methodologies, and DevOps practices.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
Technical Requirements :
- Proficiency in toolsets / infrastructure such as : Jira, Azure, PowerBI.
Industry Standard Requirements :
- Experience in writing, editing, and debugging new computer programs for assigned projects.
- Ability to document code consistently throughout the development process.
- Commitment to self-development, ongoing learning, and professional development.
