Qualifications
5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment is required, with asset management/reliability experience preferred
Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial), or equivalent work experience
Preference will be given to candidates that have a Professional Engineer designation and/or a Maintenance Management Professional or Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional certification
Strong interpersonal skills and a willingness to work in a team environment
Excellent computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office programs is required
Analytical and detail oriented with a high level of commitment and self-motivation
Working knowledge of computerized maintenance management system is required. Experience with JD Edwards is an asset
High level of commitment to training and people development
Ability to efficiently work on multiple projects/priorities simultaneously
Ability to use multimedia equipment and editing software
Responsibilities
Provide technical training opportunities for the maintenance technicians
Act as the subject matter expert in maintenance and reliability best practices and principals
Provide support to maintenance leaders and craftspeople as required through root cause analysis for breakdowns
Eliminate repeat and repetitive failures using root cause analysis and other maintenance improvement tools
Improve the lift cycle cost and performance of existing and new equipment as the opportunities present themselves
Track and manage key performance indicators for area of responsibility
Mentor and coach reliability engineers, planners, schedules, and Stores personnel
Responsible for supporting the roll out of the Key Elements of Reliability (KER) at site
Responsible for Asset Records (BOM, Spare Parts, Hierarchy, etc.) and Asset Reliability Programs (RCM, FMEA, PMO, etc.)
Owner of the PdM (Lubrication, Vibration, etc.) and PM Strategy on site
