Kettlemans is seeking experienced bakers interested in joining one of Canada’s fastest-growing quick service restaurant concepts. We are looking for enthusiastic, creative bakers for our Kanata location for day, evening, and overnight shifts.

We offer an open concept baking area to allow our customers to see how this 400-year-old tradition is done. It features high-quality hand-rolled bagels, boiled in honey water, and baked in a wood-burning oven. We are an award-winning operation and have been an institution in the Ottawa area for over 25 years. We will train you, and no experience is necessary.

Duties:

1. Prepare, knead, and roll dough for bagels
2. Prepare rolled dough to specific weight standards
3. Ensure cleanliness of baker’s area
4. Bake specialty bagels to maintain inventory
5. Bake bagels for wholesale
6. Ensure all ingredients date to HACCP regulations and standards
7. Maintain freezer inventory through FIFO requirements

Requirements:

1. 1 year experience as a baker
2. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
3. Ability to work both independently and with a team

Salary: $15.00-$17.00 per hour
