Reporting to
CEO with close direction and liaison with Global Director of Operations (GDOO) for operational matters
Role
Leading EM&I’s South American operational delivery and stated associated support functions:
Any other tasks reasonably assigned to you by the CEO in writing from time to time.
Academic Competencies
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or relevant technical discipline.
Master’s degree in appropriate business, engineering or science discipline.
Membership of an accredited body relevant to the business (e.g. Project Management Institute).
Experience Competencies
Minimum 10 years’ experience in senior management positions in technical service organisations (preferably of a similar size and type as EM&I), preferably in Brazil.
Proven record of managing a technical service business with very high growth rates and demonstrating sustained high performance over at least a 3 year period.
Proven track record in delivering technical, high margin services to major clients such as Petrobras, Equinor, MODEC, Shell, and SBM.
Proven track record of strong working relationships with senior representatives of major clients, regulators and classification societies.
Proven understanding and ability to manage multi-company project based regions using project based financial reporting and aggregation reports, profit and loss management accounts, balance sheets, sales forecasts, cash flow forecasts, WIP and debt reports, and similar (working with the CFO and their team to understand taxation in Brazil, Guyana, and/or Mexico and potentially other South American countries would be an advantage).
Proven understanding and ability to manage client and supplier contracts and disputes.
Excellent oral and written communication skills in technical and business English and Brazilian Portuguese.
Proven ability to build, motivate and lead a strong team of technical, operational, and administrative personnel.
