Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Site Foreman to oversee and coordinate construction activities on-site in Dubai. The ideal candidate will ensure that all work is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards while adhering to safety regulations.

SKILLS:

• Proficient in interpreting blueprints, structural drawings & specifications with the engineer.
• Proficient in interpreting basic Electrical & Plumbing layouts and pipings with the engineer.
• Familiarity with various techniques (concreting, formworks, reinforcement & finishing) with the engineer.
• Understand materials like concrete, steel, aggregates, metal, plyboard including handling with the engineer.
• Knowledge of quality standards, tolerances & inspection protocols with the engineer.
• Knowledge of safety standards and implementation of safety practices on-site with the engineer.
• Knowledge of basic local construction codes and minimum standards with the engineer.

Responsibilities:

1. Task Supervision: The foreman ensures that all team members are performing tasks correctly and according to the specified requirements.
2. Quality Control: Regularly checks the work being done to ensure it meets quality standards and specifications.
3. Problem-solving: Identifies and resolves any issues or obstacles that might impede progress, such as equipment failure or safety concerns.
4. Adherence to Deadlines: Monitors timelines to ensure the team is working within set schedules, making adjustments as needed to meet deadlines.
5. Skill Assessment: Understands the strengths and weaknesses of each team member, assigning tasks based on individual skills and experience.
6. Effective Scheduling: Organizes shift schedules, ensuring the right number of workers are available at the right time.
7. Resource Allocation: Ensures that each worker has the appropriate tools, materials, and equipment to complete their assigned tasks efficiently.
8. Team Coordination: Facilitates clear communication between workers, and between workers and upper management, ensuring everyone is aligned with the goals.
9. Setting Clear Goals: Works with management to establish clear, measurable objectives and communicates these to the team.
10. Tracking Progress: Keeps track of daily, weekly, or project-specific targets and ensures that the team is on track to meet or exceed them.
11. Motivating Team: Encourages team members to meet targets and maintains morale, making sure the team remains focused and productive.
12. Adapting to Changes: In case of delays or unforeseen challenges, the foreman adjusts plans, reallocates resources, or redefines targets to stay on course.
13. Team Leadership: Provides strong leadership to guide the team through challenges, ensuring a productive and safe working environment.
14. Conflict Resolution: Handles any interpersonal conflicts or disputes within the team, maintaining a harmonious work environment.
15. Reporting: Regularly reports to higher management on progress, challenges, and resource needs.
